In conclusion- It'll pretty much get you where you want to go.not so much in a good mood when you get there- but you get there. The screen has a very low brightness to it 's pretty much only able to be seen in the dark.unless you like squinting and getting an inch in front of it at the same time as trying to drive down the road.
#NEXTAR GPS WINDOWS#
It's not as loud as you'd like.if you like to ride with your windows down, dont take your Nextar GPS on the highway with you - you wont be able to hear her faint voice over the wind! On top of that music has to be at its lowest setting to hear the GPS over the radio. Not only did we go thru all of that to go on a 3 hour trip (that was only estimated 1.5hrs on mapquest) but it only took us to the general area of the airport and left it up to us to find out where to go!Ī few good features are in this product that are very helpful is that it does re-route you if you start to go the wrong way rather than just tell you "turn around" over and over and over again like the Garmin. We had to drive to a coffee shop that had computers, pay for time on a computer to google the address as the airport and then enter it into the GPS. The only thing that sets that feature aside from other GPS device's there's no interesting places to go that are pre-set! We searched for about 10 minutes looking for the Philadelphia Airport and it wasn't listed. Similar to most GPS devices, you can choose from a list of "point-of-interests". There's no only entering some information to get you to roughly where you're trying to go.
To get a destination point, you must have the EXACT location, street number, mname, city, state, and zip. The thing works, but not to a out-of-towner's expectation. I've looked around for a few I wanted.saw the nextar, saw a few bad reviews, and saw the cheapest pricetag out of the bunch. So my boyfriend and I travel, quite frequently. True nextar gps works well and always gets me where I am going All I need to do now is to remember to put it in the vehicle with me when I plan to go somewhere. It is very easy to use, program, store and follow its directions. If I ever had any doubt about using the Nextar-Navx3, my doubts are gone. I have purchased two for Christmas gifts for my children who live out of my state and need travel help at sometime.
#NEXTAR GPS PORTABLE#
I would not have bought a navigation system for myself, but I'm glad my husband felt it important enought to buy it for me. It is nice to have someone with you in the vehicle to tell you the way to go.I like the fact that the Nextar-Navx3 is portable and can be taken out of the car when it is parked and not leaving the GPS to attract theives.
The screen is a convenient size making it easy to see. It is easy to program and fun to listen to. I received my Nextar-Navx3 from my husband after we had moved to a new state and I got lost of the second time. True With the Nextar-navx3 I don't get lost anymore.
Another thing is that some places are still unregistered on the gps! So even though I know theres a stop and shop somewhere in the area and just need to know where to go, it might not show up! If you have the money, get a better one. I get so frustrated that I almost always throw it out the window! When I do miraculously get to put in the information, it takes a very long time to get gps signal! Sometimes I am in a rush and don't have time to pull over to let it acquire the signal so it's really inconvenient. Moving on, once it actually starts up, sometimes it doesn't register the responses i put in. I'm not too mad about that since it stays in the car, but it would be nice that the thing indicated it was going to die soon before doing so. I think this gps takes a lot of battery power because when I leave it hooked up to the car without it turned on and eventually unplug it, it dies within a few seconds.
There were a lot of times when were really in need of this product to help us get somewhere and the thing wouldn't work! First off, it takes a long time for it to start up. I don't think this is the best gps, but it does get the job done.
